WHO ARE WE?
RIA ABYA YALA is a dynamic network of feminist activists who aim to eliminate gender-based violence through education, awareness campaigns, and dedicated advocacy for women's rights.
Using the ESD methodology (empowerment-based Self-defense), RIA ABYA YALA has trained more than 100 ESD instructors in various countries in the LAC region, reaching more than 6,500 people through its workshops and trainings.
RIA's mission is to establish ESD as a key strategy to prevent gender violence in Latin America and the Caribbean, providing a platform for education, activism, support services, and accompaniment.
